· 欢迎于5月25, 26日正式公演时 在场外展示您的作品 (7.30pm-8.30pm)。


· 场外将提供桌子摆放电脑 (自备), 请自备“加长电线” 以接驳电源。
备注:

·       必须特有5月25 或 26日的入场卷。

·       本团不负责当天展示电脑的任何遗失或损坏。

·        本团可向摄影者要求无条件供给高清电子档相片。

·       Table will be provided for your laptop, kindly prepare extension cable for power source.

·       Participants are required to have ticket for the show, “Catan Kulit” on 25th or 26th May 2012.

·       Organiser will not responsible for the lost/damages for the laptops during the photo exhibition session.

·       High resolution photos (softcopy) shall provide unconditionally if request.

The only dance theatre who focuses on the Japanese dance art Butoh in Malaysia Nyoba Kan presents Painted Skin in May 2012.


Led by Lee Swee Keong, Nyoba Kan has been bringing the most avant-garde and yet absurdist pieces to their audiences. Almost every show becomes the talk of the town. In order to promote the dance form, for the past 4 years, Nyoba Kan has successfully organized the International Butoh Festival in Kuala Lumpur. 


Nyoba Kan always uses Chinese folklore as the base of this creation. It differs from what films and stage productions usually do: straight re-telling of these stories in different ways. This version of CATAN KULIT(Painted Skin) strives to use different traditional and modern dance techniques, through these of masks and puppets, to present the work. indonesian based Agung Gunawan has been invited to collaborate with them on this project.


The book Liao Zhai is author Pu Song Ling's most important work. The book series has 16 volumes, replete with 491 stories. The stories were adapted into Chinese opera, film, dance and drama, where well-known characters such as Painted Skin, Nie Xiao Qian, the evil monk, and the fox wife have been re-interpreted by contemporary directors. 


Lee Swee Keong is adept in using stage craft to present the characters, where the real and virtual collide, allegories and paradoxes co-exist and larger than life directorial techniques -- all coming together to shape the theatre space. He will work the piece from within and re-create the necessary in order to give audience's a strong theatrical experience, not to mention to allow audience to re-think about moral values. The messages within is valuable resource to both performers and audiences alike, to excavate the real and beautiful within. Pu Song Ling's Liao Zhai took values from life too: honesty in the educated, helping people, work diligently, changing for the better, and also to give up evil for humanity, depose greediness and self-deprecation, treating everybody well, and keep to promises with others.


Besides Agung Gunawan, this Nyoba Kan production also sees principal dancer Kiea Kuan Nam, and Jess Liew, guest dancer Boyz from Hands Percussion, and alternative musician Gideon Alubakhan, not to mention well-known lighting designer Loh Kok Man. Besides being a dancer, Kiea Kuan Nam also doubles up as the costume designer.



"We believe that each and every mask said got its own character and meaning. The mask has got great energies. We hope that different masks could exude different body movements, anchoring on the impulse of dance. This is will heighten the drama in the theatre."



由本国唯一以日本前卫表演艺术“舞踏”为基础的本地杰出舞团~ “寿板舞踏”五月为本地表演艺术爱好者呈献——舞剧《画皮》。


由李瑞强带领的寿板舞踏,一直都带给观众新鲜,前卫和怪诞的作品。每次的演出都成为城中表演艺术的话题。4年来更为了推广“舞踏”这种表演艺术和寿板舞踏的理念,成功举办了“国际寿板舞踏祭”。


《画皮》邀请了来自东爪哇,印尼传统舞蹈家Agung Gunawan 参与创作与演出。寿板舞踏多年来的作品惯用东方经典的故事为创作脚本,大胆贯穿和结合不同的艺术媒体形式创作;如去年一度重演的 《梁祝》就结合舞蹈、音乐以及影像的元素。早期的《倩女幽魂》则结合舞踏, 影像,电子音乐,装置艺术等等联合一起。《砸了樱桃碎了心》是以 日本著名小说《罗生门》为蓝本, 请来了时装和发型设计师联合创作等等。


《聊斋志异 》是清代蒲松龄短篇小说集的代表作。全书共16卷,有短篇小说491篇。《聊斋》的其中故事更古今成为中国戏曲,现代电影,舞蹈和戏剧先后应用和改编。其中大家熟悉的如:画皮,聂小倩,僧孽,狐妾等等就成为近代电影导演的题材。


李瑞强善用舞台艺术的技巧,以鲜明,写实、虚拟、暗喻、映射、对比、夸张等的手法,把一个虚拟的空间整合, 从原作的内容重新创作,特别并带有个性的带给观众视觉感官的刺激,同时也激发观众深入反思和探讨社会的道德训诫。从中带出的讯息可以给表演者和观众在生活中成为借镜和激发 内在的“真善美”。就如蒲松龄本身的《聊斋志异 》故事也是总结生活中的经验教训,教育人要诚实、乐于助人、吃苦耐劳、知过能改,除此也提醒人们要弃恶从善,讽贪刺虐,善待众生,诚信待人。



《 画皮》的演出班底除了Agung Gunawan,还有寿板舞踏手丘冠南和刘翠婷的演出,手集团的鼓手Boyz担任客席舞者外,同时也请来应用古琴,马头琴等乐器表演的鬼才乐手阿龙巴,本地著名戏剧导演兼灯光设计师罗国文担任灯光设计。丘冠南本身除了身兼舞者,他还是兼任了这次的服装设计。
 


“我们相信每一张面具都有其特别的角色和意义。面具本身就有一股神秘的力量。我们希望通过不同的面具能启发身体意识的移动和舞动力量。”
